This project is technical in nature but community oriented in its results.

In the summer of 2024 The Island Cafe on Toronto’s Ward Island suffered a devastating fire, destroying the Ward's Island Association Clubhouse which the cafe was located in. This irreplaceable loss for the community led the owners to produce prefabricated kiosks to replace this once cherished location for beach goers & locals.

We helped The Island Cafe in navigating the City of Toronto’s permit obstacles while creating a logical plan to get their business back underway.

The cafe reopended in the Spring of 2025 after the winter season.
